Good day! I would like to request for information regarding the number of acquitted rape suspects/convicts in Quezon City. Specifically, I request the following:
1. Number of rape suspects acquitted in Quezon City trial courts from January 2016 to December 2018.
2. Number of rape convicts in Quezon City that were later acquitted by the Supreme Court from January 2016 to December 2018.
3. Information to be categorized, if possible, in the following: court where the suspects/convicts were acquitted, year of acquittal, and reason/s for the acquittal.

You asked for the number of acquittal and conviction in rape cases before Quezon City.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the data you requested is unavailable at our Office and the procurement thereof will require action beyond our mandate.
Although citizens are afforded the right to information and, pursuant thereto, are entitled to "access to official records," the Constitution does not accord them a right to compel custodians of official records to prepare lists, abstracts, summaries and the like in their desire to acquire information on matters of public concern. (Valmonte v. Belmonte, G.R. No. 74930 February 13, 1989)
