Hi, i would like to know if there is a Small Claims Case against me. i have received a text message that a small claims case was filed against me

Thank you for your request dated Jun 13, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for a Case Verification - Small Claims Case.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested since small claims are civil in nature and not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ but the courts. Please be informed that courts are under the Judicial branch of government while the DOJ is under the Executive branch, these are two totally different agencies with different functions and mandate.

It may be best to coordinate with the Supreme Court (SC) instead at pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph/
