Migrino 12:13 AM, Aug 19, 2022

Good day to your good office! I would like to verify if there is a pending criminal case of my father, Anecito Cesar Migriño y Remolador. He recently got an info that there was a court hearing he was not able to attend. As to which specific court, we have no idea. We would like to resolve this matter if ever there is anything that has been filed against my father. Thank you!

Dear Julius Caesar Migrino,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 19, 2022 12:13:31 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Criminal Case Verification.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested since courts are not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ.

Please be informed that the DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which has jurisdiction over prosecutors while courts are under the Judicial branch of government overseen by the Supreme Court (SC). Unfortunately, the SC is not on-board the FOI platform so we cannot refer this request to them using this platform considering the FOI program is implemented merely by an Executive Order which only covers agencies under the Executive branch of government.

You may coordinate with the SC at pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph.

Thank you.
