Hello.  I would like to know how long will it take to approved the petition for bail.  My cousin was detained last May 23.  On the following day, we process the petition to bail but until now, it was not approved since the signatories where not around. We really don't know what else to do. Please help.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have [some of]* the information you have requested because petitions for bail are under the jurisdiction of the courts, not the DOJ. The DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which primarily handles the prosecution of criminal cases while courts are under the Judicial branch of government overseen by the Supreme Court (SC). 

Please coordinate with the SC or the court where the petition for bail was filed.
