Graciadas 08:07 PM, Mar 19, 2021

Hi, I would like to know the yearly number of OFWs given immunity because they were deemed to be trafficking victims, for the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 (to present day).

I would also like to know if there is a formal process for the DOJ to grant immunity to a trafficking victim and who (person or entity) is in charge of conducting the trafficking screening.

Response to Request

The statistics we have sent you in your other FOI request also answers this inquiry.

Further, please note that the data collected there has no capacity to identify the following:

a. Nationality of victims but mostly of the TIP cases filed in Court involves Filipino nationals

b. If a victim is an OFW or not

c. Involvement of an employment agency

Thank you,
