April 4, 2022 Dear Mhai Aguas, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Apr 03, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Civil Case 8654. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because civil cases are not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ. The DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which deals with the prosecution of criminal cases while courts and civil cases are under the Judicial branch of government. It would be best if you coordinate with the Supreme Court (SC) instead since they oversee the Judiciary. The SC's e-mail address based from their website is pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph. Unfortunately, the FOI program only covers agencies under the Executive branch so we cannot refer it directly to the Supreme Court (SC) using the FOI portal. Thank you. FOI Receiving Officer
