Hi!

In July 2011, Col. Domingo Tutaan, former chief of the Armed Forces’ Human Rights Office, said retired M/Sgt. Donald Caigas passed away last year due to a lingering illness.  Because of that the case against him was dismissed; a death certificate was presented to the DOJ.

I would like to request the following:

1. The decision dismissing the case.
2. Copy of the death certificate of M/Sgt. Donald Caigas that was submitted to DOJ as evidence.

Good day!

This has reference to the inquiry you sent through the eFOI portal dated 21 May 2017, requesting for copies of the decision in the case involving M/Sgt. Donald Caigas and of the latter’s death certificate that was submitted to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Anent thereto, please find attached to this letter documents you requested:
1.)	Resolution in Erlinda T. Cadapan and Concepcion E. Empeño vs. M/Gen. Jovito Palparan, Jr. (Ret.), M/Sgt. Donald Caigas, et al., docketed as NPS Docket No.XVI-INV-11E-00179 dated 15 December 2015; and,
2.)	Certificate of Death of Donald Botardo Caigas with registry number 2010-118 dated 05 April 2010.
