Hello! I would like to request the following data:

1. The number of recidivists in the Philippines. (Per region)
2. The number of recidivists in the Philippines. (Per sex)
3. The recidivism rate of the Philippines.
4. Top 10 regions with the highest recidivism rate.
5. Future plans regarding rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders in the society.

Thank you for your request dated 23 March 2020 at 05:03 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.


Your Request

You requested for data on recidivists, specifically – (1) number of recidivists in the country disaggregated by Region, (2) number of recidivists in the country disaggregated based on sex, (3) recidivism rate in the Philippines, (4) top 10 regions with the highest recidivism rate, and (5) future plans for the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders in the society.


Response to Request

Unfortunately, your request cannot be acted upon as this Office does not have the data you require. Please coordinate directly with the Bureau of Corrections by writing a letter of request addressed to Undersecretary Gerald Q. Bantag at bucoropcen@yahoo.com.
