Ferrer 06:32 PM, May 30, 2021

Hi, I would like to know the status of the annulment case filed by Gilbert Dela Cruz Ferrer under the holdings of Atty Sonia Canonizado. Last thing I received was the scheduled hearing last March 12, 2021. It was under Binan Laguna RTC branch. I still haven't heard from her since her last update. I tried calling but there is no answer. I appreciate your help.

Dear Gilbert Ferrer,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you requested since annulment cases are not under the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Annulment cases are civil in nature, they are under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court (SC) which oversees the Judiciary. Hence, you should coordinate with the court handling the said annulment case.

Thank you.

Respectfully,

FOI Decision Maker
