Good Day , i would like to  request from your kind office a copy of protection law , article or Republic Act , against Oral Defamation, cyber bullying , harassment, and to know more of my human rights. From people who degrades my morale and affects me and my family's lives.
2) and also to get copy of  a republic act that protects Customers or tenant against heartless eviction during covid 19 pandemic crisis.

Hope you can grant my heartfelt request.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated 19 August 2020 at 10:11 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.


Your Request

You requested for copies of laws against oral defamation, cyberbullying, and harassment. You likewise requested to know more about your human rights. Finally, you requested for laws protecting customers or tenants against heartless eviction during the COVD-19 pandemic. 


Response to Request

Your request is partially granted. With respect to your query on laws against defamation, cyberbullying, and harassment, please refer to the Revised Penal Code, specifically Articles 353 to 364 cover Crimes Against Honor. Cyberbullying, on the other hand, is covered by a special law – Republic Act Number 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. Attached herein is a copy of said law.

On your request to know more about your human rights, kindly contact the Commission on Human Rights at (02) 8294 8704. Finally, this Department cannot act for lack of specificity, on your request on eviction laws and remedies. In any event, you may reach the Department of Justice Action Center thru (02) 8 521 2930 or (02) 8 526 3365 or via their e-mail address at dojac@doj.gov.ph.


Your right to request a review.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Hon. Menardo I. Guevarra, Secretary, Department of Justice, Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date when you have received this letter.
