Thank you for your request dated Aug 16, 2019 05:08:27 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for statistics on the types of Cybercrime in the Philippines and number of cases filed and prosecuted under each type of cybercrime by City or Region.
 
Response to Request

The primary cybercrime law in the Philippines is Republic Act No. 10175 otherwise known as the “Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012”. You may view a copy of the said law and the types of punishable acts mentioned therein at https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/2012/09/12/republic-act-no-10175/. 

As for your request for the number of cybercrime cases filed and prosecuted, attached herewith as a table which shows current available data on the number of handled cybercrime cases, resolved cybercrime cases, and number of cybercrime related Information filed in court, per region, for the years 2016 to 2018. 

Your right to request a review
