Thank you for your request dated Sep 18, 2019 02:51:52 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for a copy of this Department’s Opinion signed in November 2012 which pertained to a ban on open pit mining by Local Government Units (LGU).
 
Response to Request

While this Department did not find an Opinion involving a ban on open pit mining by LGU’s, it however found an Opinion about said subject matter issued in September 2012. I enclose a copy of this Department’s Opinion No. 87, Series of 2012, dated 18 September 2012 for your perusal.

Your right to request a review
