I want to know if what happened to a case filed against me. I want to the decision if any.

Hi. I wanted to know what happened to the case filed against me. I was invited to a police station and was held more than 48hrs without a case. The policemen asked money from me. After I got the money, that's the only time they released me.

You requested for an update on the case filed against you which, based on your allegation, resulted to your temporary detention for more than 48 hours.


Response to your request

Unfortunately, your request cannot be granted as its subject falls outside the mandate of this Department. For your specific concern and query, please contact the Philippine National Police at http://www.pnp.gov.ph/. 


Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Hon. Menardo I. Guevarra, Secretary, Department of Justice, Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date when you have received this letter.
