Dear Marco Polo,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 25, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for List of dismissed criminal cases in municipal, metropolitan and regional trial courts.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested since courts are not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ but the Supreme Court (SC).

The DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which mainly deals with the prosecution of cases. On the other hand, the SC is under the Judicial branch of government which has jurisdiction over courts nationwide.

It may be best if you coordinate with the SC at pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph.

Thank you,

FOI Receiving Officer
