January 30, 2024 Dear Requesting Party, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 30, 2024 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for case information filed in a certain court. Response to your request Please be informed that courts are not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ. Courts are under the Judicial branch of government while the DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which mainly deals the prosecution of criminal cases. These are two different agencies under different branches of government. To assist you, we encourage you to coordinate with the Supreme Court (SC) pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph. We can directly forward your request to them because they are not on-board the FOI platform considering that the FOI is operational only by a mere Executive Order which only covers offices under the Executive Branch of government..
