Thank you for your request dated 10 June 2019 6:28:00 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You requested, for purpose of research, data pertaining to Trafficking in Persons (TIP) in the Philippines for the period 2007 to 2018.
 
Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Enclosed herewith are the statistics you requested. Table 1 provides the number of complaints pertaining to different types of trafficking in persons (TIP) pending with various Prosecutor’s Office in the Philippines for the period 2003-2019. On the other hand, Table 2 provides the number of TIP cases filed in court for the same period. 

Please note that the Tables only represent collated data as of 29 April 2019.  

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the Hon. Menardo I. Guevarra, Secretary of the DOJ.
