Dear Maria Danillee Bastigue,

Greetings! 

This is to acknowledge receipt of your inquiry dated 17 May 2018, requesting for data on the latest population of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) nationwide or in Cebu Province and Cebu City.

This Department, however, is constrained to deny your request pursuant to the Memorandum of the Executive Secretary dated 24 November 2017 on the Inventory of Exceptions to Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016).

Under item 9(d) thereof, requests for information involving lists, abstracts, or summaries of information are not covered by the freedom of information when such lists, abstracts, or summaries are not part of duties of the government office requested.

The requested data does not fall within the province of this office. Your request is more properly addressed to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which has custody of the documents requested.
