Dear Ms. Quising,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated 17 May 2021 12:42:30 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for tourist arrivals by province and city.
Response to Request
Your FOI request was approved. We enclosed a copy of the information you have requested.
Likewise, please be informed that the attached files were the only available data from the concerned DOT Offices.
Below are the data from DOT-NCR:
1. Number of tourist arrivals by province and city or municipality for 2020:
The National Capital Region has no province. It is composed of 16 highly urbanized cities and one municipality.
Likewise, FY 2020 is a statistical aberration. Hence the only viable data for tourists you can get is from the month of January and February. The rest of the months of 2020 are quarantine data. DOT NCR is dependent on reports by LGUs or accommodation establishments. Please see the monthly arrival per city below:
Mandaluyong
January- 7,963
February- 7,586
Manila
January – 36,270
February- 33,469
Makati
January – 49,145
February- 43,224
Parañaque
January – 51,128
February- 43,611
Pasay
January – 127,015
February- 110,504
Muntinlupa
January – 17,494
February- 16,126
Malabon
January – 122
February- 85
Quezon City
January – 7,065
February- 7,609
Taguig
January – 21,227
February- 18,658
Pasig
January – 15,576
February- 14,835
2. Tourism receipts by province and city or municipality for 2020:
Tourism receipt is gathered through a survey. Unfortunately, no LGU in NCR has conducted one as they have yet to attend the advanced tourism statistics training.
