Reason/Title: My request is in connection with my architectural thesis entitled "Isla Verde Oceanarium and Mariculture Innovation Hub: A Regenerative Approach to Harmonizing Tourism, Marine Biodiversity Conservation, and Aquaculture."
Purpose: The data is essential for projecting the anticipated number of tourists visiting the proposed development every month. Additionally, it will aid in assessing the tourist influx during peak and off-seasons. This information is crucial for making informed design decisions that align with the sustainable development goals of the project.
Brief Background of the Project: The Isla Verde Oceanarium and Mariculture Innovation Hub aim to address the pressing need for increased conservation and adaptive capacity of coastal marine ecosystems, benefiting both the environment and local communities. The Oceanarium introduces an innovative approach to tourism and marine biodiversity conservation, offering visitors an immersive experience of the Verde Island Passage's marine life. Simultaneously, the Mariculture Innovation Hub serves as a collaborative center, fostering innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and ecological sustainability in mariculture practices. The project's overarching goal is not only to protect and conserve the biodiverse marine habitat of the VIP but also to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for low-income coastal communities.
