Greetings in St. La Salle!
I am Lou Brad N. De Nobili, a student of De La Salle University, currently taking up a double degree program of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Bachelor of Arts major in History. I am writing this email as a follow up on my previous request for DOT data on the number of annual tourist arrivals per LGU category (city, municipality, province) from the years 2010 to 2019. The said information would be helpful for our undergraduate thesis focusing on the effect of LGU non-financial demographic and economic characteristics to Local Government Unit financial performance. Our thesis aims to look into the drivers of LGU financial performance and to identify possible ways to improve local government program development. Since the local governments are concerned with the area of tourism more specifically because it is one of the revenue producing functions of LGUs, our thesis group found it relevant to consider the number of annual tourist arrivals as a proxy for local government touristic activity.
