Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated 13 November 2022 12:35:14 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for the following tourism data:
1. The number of DOT accredited Recreational Facilities in the Philippines;
2. Region with the highest number of recreational facilities; and
3. Economic contribution from recreational facilities.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

Please be informed that based on the DOT's database, there are currently 190 DOT-accredited recreational facilities, and Region 6 (Western Visayas) has the most number of these facilities. 

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested. Recreational facilities fall under Secondary Tourism Enterprises, however, these are different from summer camps/campgrounds. To date, the DOT has not created standards for campgrounds.

As to the economic contribution of recreational facilities, we do not have the said data.

Your right to request a review
