Good day,

I am Gabriel A. Masangkay from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations (DFA-OUMIAER).

I would like to request the following data for analysis purposes: foreign tourist arrivals per province disaggregated by nationality for all available periods.

The data will be used by OUMAIER for our economic diplomacy activities. Rest assured that proper citation will be given to the Department of Tourism as the main source of the data.

Your Request

You asked for data on Foreign Tourist Arrivals by province and by nationality from 2000-2022.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

We have enclosed a copy of the available information relative to your request.

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested. Upon coordination with the DOT Regional Offices, not all offices have available data from 2000 to 2022. Also, not all have breakdowns by province and by nationality. Since the attachments will be in bulk, some of them will be released through the email you have provided us.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with our response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by writing a letter or email addressed to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism and sending it through the email address: foi_ro@tourism.gov.ph. Your review request should be made within 15 working days from the date when you received this reply and must provide the reason/s why you are not satisfied. We will complete the review and notify you of the result within 30 working days from the date when we receive your request for review.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
