-Visitor counts at popular tourist attractions and landmarks in Cebu
-Types of activities and tours preferred by tourists.

The architecture thesis is titled "Aplaya: Mixed-Use Waterfront as a Sustainable Tourism Hub. A Study of the Role that Sensory Perception and Passive Design Strategies Have in the Development of a Unique User-Experience in Cebu City"
To revive and develop the underdeveloped waterfronts of Cebu and create a potential tourist landmark at an international level. Aims to boost tourism in a way that is sustainable in terms of the environment, culture, and transportation. The demand for a tourist destination, such as facilities to cater them, rises as a result of the increasing number of tourists visiting Cebu City each year.
The quantity of arrivals, user profiles, demographics, nation of origin, and other similar data will be very helpful in identifying possible users and estimating the development's potential user base. In addition, their preferences on places that they want to stay, and activities that interest them, to be provided by the future development.

You asked for various Tourism Data on Cebu City from 2020-2023.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
We have enclosed a copy of the report on the number of tourists in Cebu by nationality and by city/municipality as well as the occupancy rate and average length of stay from 2020-2023.
Please note that we can only provide some of the information you have requested. Upon coordination with DOT Region 7, they have no available survey data hence, cannot provide data on the number of tourists by port of entry and top activities chosen by tourists.

Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with our response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by writing a letter or email addressed to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism and sending it through the email address: foi_ro@tourism.gov.ph.
