Thank you for your response dated 27 July 2022 via email and the eFOI portal, with regard to our request for compliance with Sections 13.3.a, 13.4 and 13.5.d of the revised DOT FOI Manual.

We would still need to request you to further clarify your request by providing the proper identification, preferably your student ID as the ID you have submitted is not consistent with the name you have registered with. This is in accordance with Section 13.5.d of the revised DOT FOI Manual which states:

You asked for the Checklist/Guidelines for Anahaw-Philippine Sustainable Tourism Certification.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

We have enclosed a copy of the fact sheet containing information regarding the Anahaw Philippines Sustainable Certificate.

Please be informed that the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of the DOT with Grat Center for Appropriate Technology, DOT's partner organization in the development and audit of accommodation establishments that wish to be certified under the Anahaw, has ended and no concrete plans yet on the resumption of the program.

However, interested applicants may send their queries through email address: trixie@grat.at or ton@grat.at.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with our response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by writing a letter or email addressed to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism and send it through email address: foi_ro@tourism.gov.ph.
