1) number of workers in the tourism industry per industry characteristic
2) number of workers in the tourism industry per industry characteristic who lost jobs/were affected due to the pandemic
3) list of establishments related to tourism
4) list of establishments related to tourism which ceased operations due to the pandemic (hotels, inns, etc.) and revenue losses due to the closures of these establishments

Your Request
You asked for affected workers and businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Response to Request
Your FOI request was approved. We enclosed a copy of the information you have requested.
Likewise, please be informed that the attached file was the only available data from the Department's Standards Monitoring and Enforcement Division (SMED).
According to SMED, not all accommodation establishments listed in file is guaranteed to be still operating up to date, some may have ceased operation or temporarily closed sometime after they were issued the Provisional Certificate of Authority to Operate (PCAO) or Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO).
As for the requested information on Items No. 1 and 2, you may contact the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) thru their website at https://www.dole.gov.ph/.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at 351 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
