I am writing to request information on the following items:
• 2021-2022 Davao city tourism drivers (tourists arrivals? special events? what is the source of the increase in tourism?)
• Updates on the status of new international flights/carriers that were supposed to operate in Davao and where they able to successfully operate?
• Profile of tourists arrivals (number of OFWs, Foreigners, Local Travelers and etc) for davao city and davao region
• LGU plans/support for economy & tourism (Davao City)

Your Request
You asked for the following tourism data on Davao City:
1. Number of domestic and foreign tourists, and Overseas Filipino visitors for 2021-2022;
2. List of Special Events/Tourism Activities;
3. Profile of tourists;
4. Income generated through tourism;
5. Status of flights; and
6. LGU plans for tourism.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
We have enclosed the report on the number of domestic and foreign tourists for 2022 (Jan-June 2022). While data for 2021 is in the attached 21 Regional Travelers Report. Other tourism statistics data can be found through this link: http://www.tourism.gov.ph/tourism_dem_sup_pub.aspx
We have also attached the List of Special Events/Tourism Activities.
We apologize but please be informed that there is no data for the Profile of tourists.
Regarding the income generated through tourism and LGU plans for tourism, you may directly coordinate with the Davao City LGU: https://www.davaocity.gov.ph/
While the status of flights may be directly coordinated with CAAP: https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests?agency=CAAP
Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested as these are the only available data. For the other data, kindly coordinate with the proper agency as stated above.
Your right to request a review
