Erpe 10:20 PM, May 10, 2023

Good Day!

I would like to request the New Standard Hotel Classification Requirements. Specifically, the space requirements based on Hotel Classification.

I have read that the previous Hotel Classification - De-Luxe Class, First Class, Standard Class, and Economy Class was already changed to 1-5 star rating. However, I cannot find the New Standard Hotel Classification in the DOT website.

Thank you!

Hello again,

For clarification, I am Shaira Erpe a 5th-year Architecture student at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Currently, I am working on my Architectural Thesis entitled - TANGLAWAN COMPLEX - A Mixed-Use Development in SJDM, Bulacan: Intertwining Multicultural Places and Creative Placemaking in Civic Spaces.

My project proposal consists of a Cultural Center, Hotel, and Recreational Park. To provide feasible research and design, we, students always comply with the standards in building design requirements.

Therefore, I am requesting at the Department of Tourism the New Accommodation Standard Requirements for Hotel based on the new classification which is the star rating. Specifically, the minimum space requirements and other services that are needed.

I tried to search on the DOT website however, I cannot access and download the link posted for the files I am looking for on their website. It looks like the weblinks are not updated. I hope you help me with my academic endeavor.

The information that I will obtain is solely for academic references and review of the literature.

Thank you so much!
