Good day!

I would like to request a copy of the National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028. The purpose of this request is for my Architecture Thesis: Cultural Resort in the Philippines. The aim is to provide architectural solutions for the lack of recognition and economic opportunities for local artisans and craftsmen in a resort setting.

Thank you for your request dated August 25, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, the NTDP 2023-2028 is still being finalized as of this time. 

As such, we are constrained to deny your request under Section 6 (b) of Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 89, which exempts from the right to access information such information that a premature disclosure would be likely to frustrate the implementation of a proposed official action.

Rest assured that the Plan will eventually be made available thru the DOT portal or website once finalized.

A copy of the NTDP 2016-2022 is available online thru: http://tourism.gov.ph/NTDP.aspx

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with our response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by writing a letter or email addressed to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism and sending it through the email address: foi_ro@tourism.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with the response and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this response.
