I'm Crizalyn Lopez Querrer 5th year BSArchitecture in Technological Institute of the Philippines Quezon City doing her capstone project entitled: Nexus Convention and Exhibition Center in Paranaque City.

Brief Background:
The Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry has undergone a profound transformation in recent years, marked by the integration of digital technologies. This paradigm shift has not only altered the way knowledge is exchanged but has also ushered in a new era of conventions that emphasize health, safety, and sustainability. In this changing landscape, conventions have evolved from mere platforms for knowledge dissemination to dynamic spaces that facilitate interaction, communication, recreation, and relaxation. Notably, the rise of Esports events exemplifies this transformation, as they now stand as emblematic events.

Current Congestion and Lack of Spaces

Currently, many convention centers grapple with issues of congestion because of the rising demand and inadequate spaces for rest and collaboration. Attendees, seeking a moment of respite, often resort to sitting wherever space is available, inadvertently impeding the flow of foot traffic. This not only diminishes the overall convention experience but also poses a safety hazard. The existing model of convention centers in the Philippines falls short of addressing these contemporary challenges, requiring a different architectural approach.

Introducing the Nexus Convention Center

In response to the pressing issues plaguing conventional convention centers, this thesis introduces the project entitled NCEC or "Nexus Convention and Exhibition Center." This groundbreaking architectural endeavor seeks to redefine the convention center experience, emphasizing health, safety, sustainability, and user-centric design that can adapt to a wide range of center approaches to facility management and venue types. That will offer versatile facilities, catering to a diverse range of events beyond esports, ensuring year-round engagement. The guiding principle for the Nexus is a holistic experience that maximizes the potential of the site. Aims to provide an innovative solution to the problems of congestion and spaces within convention centers. By prioritizing these aspects, the Nexus Convention Center aims to revolutionize the MICE industry, setting a new model for conventions in the digital age.

For that reason, I would like to request the following data in order to expound my study.

Request of Data:

1. Paranaque City's Tourist Arrival Data (2013-2022/present)
-Total Tourist Arrivals
-Domestic Tourists
-Foreign Tourists
Growth Rate
I will use this information to compute projections for domestic and foreign tourist arrivals in the city for the next 10 years.

In the City of NCR:
2. Total Arrival Purpose Percentage (2013-2022)
3. Tourist Arrival because of M.I.C.E event Percentage (2013-2022)
4. Percentage of DOT for M.I.C.E (2013-2022)
To be used for Computation for Projected Users 10 years later
