•Reasonable description of the information requested. In particular, it would be helpful to know the exact/specific information that you wish to request and its exact/specific covered period; - for #1, are you referring to the number of tourists in the Philippines as a whole, or per region? Also, kindly specify the period. For #2, is the request for CALABARZON tourist data as a whole, or Rizal is not included? Also, specify the period.

•Specific reason for, or purpose of, the request for information. Please note that general averments such as “for research”, “for information”, “for legal purposes” or other similarly worded purposes shall NOT be considered to have met the requirements of specificity; - kindly specify how the data will be used by providing the name/title of research/ thesis/ study you are conducting with a brief background.

You asked for the following tourism data from 2013 to 2022:
1. Annual and Monthly number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Philippines, by Region; and
2.  Annual and Monthly number of domestic and foreign tourists in CALABARZON.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

For the annual data on the number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Philippines and CALABARZON from 2013 to 2020, you may find the data through this link: http://www.tourism.gov.ph/tourism_dem_sup_pub.aspx

For the 2021 data, you may find the same through the link below.

For 2022 data for the Philippines, we have previously informed you through your same request: https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHQsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEERPVC0zNjcxNzI0NjYxNTYM that the report is generated annually hence there is no monthly data available. For CALABARZON, we already provided you with the same data through the same link.

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested as these are the only available data as of this time.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with our response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by writing a letter or email addressed to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism and send it through email address: foi_ro@tourism.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with the response and should be made within 15 working days from the date when you received this response. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 working days from the date when we receive your request for review.
