Hi! I am requesting for the memo or rule that governs the senior citizen discount for Hotel rooms.
When we travel as a family ( there's 4 of us in our party: 2 senior parents and me and my sister), we book our hotel under either parents' names. But there' are differences on how the senior discount is applied to our hotel stays in different areas.
In Metro Manila, Cebu, Ilo-ilo, and Palawan, the hotels and resorts apply the senior discount to the room regardless if we (my sister and I) stay with our parents or not.
but in Region 8 they divide the price of the room by the number occupants.

We have enclosed a copy of the DOT Memo Circular No. 2010-07 Adopting the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 9994, otherwise known as the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010.
