b.  Total No. of Business Establishments
c.  Total No. of Business Enterprises

Thank you for your request dated Aug 26, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Inventory of Business Establishments.

Response to your request

Please be informed that only sole proprietorships are registered with DTI, hence not all operating businesses may have been registered with DTI. 

Similarly, please note that business name registration in DTI does not classify an enterprise as micro, small, medium or large as we do not require the capitalization in the registration.

Any business, however, needs to be registered with the Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office where the business is located (business address).  In this context, we suggest that you contact the respective Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of each LGU in Palawan for proper assistance.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to <Sec. Alfredo E. Pascual at email secretary@dti.gov.ph>. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

I would like to request the total number of sole proprietorships with total amount of investments/capital and total number of employed (sex disaggregated if possible) are registered with DTI by municipality and province (Palawan only) and by sector or kind of proprietorship.
