Dear Abegail Bacolod,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jul 11, 2022 09:12:09 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for The number of micro businesses.

Response to Request

Please be informed that only sole proprietorships are registered with DTI, hence not all operating businesses may have been registered with DTI.

Similarly, please note that we cannot identify if a business name is classified as small, medium or large business due to reason that we don't require the capitalization in the registration of business name.

In addition, kindly be advised that a Business Name Registration is NOT a license to engage in any kind of business and that the business, regardless of its nature, needs to be registered with the Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office where the business is located (business address).

In this context, we suggest that you contact the respective Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of all cities and municipalities in Cavite for proper assistance.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to <Sec. Alfredo E. Pascual at email secretary@dti.gov.ph>. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,
FOI Receiving Officer
