Iam hoping to continue the request using this email.

You asked for List of registered business names for sole proprietors in the philippines..

Response to your request

With reference to the request for DTI-registered Business Name (BN) listing, please be advised that due to pending policy review of Business Name Rules and Procedure on bulk applications for BN listing, request for BN data is temporarily on hold pending the finalization of rules consistent with the Data Privacy Act and the BN Law or Act 3883.

Once the Business Name Registration Division recommendations are approved by the DTI Secretary, we shall immediately take action on such requests.

Nevertheless, since business name registration with the DTI is not a permit/license to engage in any kind of business nor does it warrant the legitimacy of the business, we suggest that the request be addressed directly to the Business Permits and Licensing Office of the concerned local government units which issues the permit to engage in or operate the business or trade activity.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to <Sec. Alfredo E. Pascual at email secretary@dti.gov.ph>. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
