Hi. I would like to ask for a verification on how to apply for the ec cash assistance for covid-19 positive in ecc? I worked as a nurse in a healthcare industry. We cater various patients particularly in skin diseases. Was diagnosed with covid-19 positive last feb.1, 2021 and underwent a 16day home  quarantine. I already filed in sss for my sss benefit and claimed it already. Can i still avail for this benefit under the ecc? How??

Greetings!

Your Request

You asked for EC CASH ASSISTANCE.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

If you are an employee who suffered from a work-connected COVID,  pls file your EC sickness claim at the SSS branch nearest you(for private sector employees);  or at the GSIS (for public sector employees).

The forms are available at the SSS/GSIS/ECC website.

EC Claims Requirements:
1. Certificate of Employment (indicate the last day of duty prior to contracting COVID-19.
2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result (Positive)
3. Medical Certificate or Home Quarantine Clearance
4. 2 Valid IDs

Forms (SS Form B300 Sickness Notification and SS Form B309 Accident Report)

If you already have an approved EC sickness claim at SSS/GSIS,  you can then file an EC cash assistance claim at the ECC.

The EC CA application form is available in our FB page and the requirements are as follows:
1. Proof of Approved EC Claim Voucher from SSS/GSIS
2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result showing POSITIVE for CoVid-19, issued by a DOH accredited testing center / Medical Certificate / Home Quarantine Clearance issued by LGU Health Office/BHERT
3. 2 Valid IDs

Your right to request a review
