Hi, I would like to know the following:

1. Will we get cash assistance for our father that died due to COVID 19 since he has GSIS and SSS?

2. How do we apply for the cash assistance if we qualify?

3. What are the requirements needed?

Dear Kenneith Vincent Jayaon,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 14, 2021 02:33:46 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Cash Assistance for retired GSIS that died due to COVID.

Response to Request

We hope you are doing well today.

For your first question, the survivor/s of your father can avail the ECC cash assistance if your father’s COVID was contracted due to his employment. If he was working in the government when he contracted the same, while employed and due to his employment, pls file first an EC sickness claim at the GSIS branch nearest you.

For your second and last queries, EC Cash Assistance is filed online via ECCADS. Attached is our infographic pertaining to our
    ECCADS .

We hope we were able to assist you.

For more information on the EC Program pls follow the FB page of the Employees’ Compensation Commission or search us at www.ecc.gov.ph.

    Thanks and stay safe po.
