Response to Request

Please refer to the reply of the DOLE Bureau of Working Conditions:

"
Dear Harold Boado,

Thank you for your request dated September 8, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for information on how to file a complaint against your employer who was irresponsible to follow COVID 19 workplace guidelines.
May we refer you to the DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19 and the Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 2020-04 or the DTI and DOLE Supplemental Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. These protocols were issued primarily for the protection of our workers.
Both policies aim to assist private institutions that are allowed to operate during this Community Quarantine in developing the minimum health protocols and standards in the workplace. The said policies are aligned with the minimum public health standards set by the Department of Health (DOH), for strict compliance of all employers and workers in the private sector.
Non-compliant establishments may be reported to the DOLE Regional/Field Office, having jurisdiction to the workplace for complaint inspection and appropriate action. You may find the contact details and addresses of these DOLE Offices in the DOLE’s website.
    Thank you.

    Respectfully,

    BWC eFOI Team
