Hi! I have been tested positive for Covid-19 last July and already filed and claimed SSS sickness benefits. However, I have read from the ECC Site that I can be eligible for ECC Cash assistance. So, I would like to apply for it. Hope you can help me with the process. Thank you.

Your Request

You asked for APPLICATION FOR CASH ASSISTANCE FOR COVID-19 POSITIVE.

Response to Request

    -The Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) aims to provide disability or death benefits due to work-connected sickness or injury; 

    -ECP covers all civilian employees in the government with GSIS coverage including uniformed personnel and all compulsory members of the SSS;

    -SSS serves as implementing agency of ECP in the private sector whereas GSIS implements the ECP in the public sector; the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) serves as appeal and policy-making body of the ECP; as implementing agency in the private sector, the evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS; 

    -EC benefits are distinct and separate from SSS and GSIS benefits; 

    -EC cash assistance serves as accessory benefits to EC disability or death benefits due to work-connected covid19;

    If you are an employee who suffered from a work-connected COVID,  pls file your EC sickness claim at the SSS branch nearest you(for private sector employees);  or at the GSIS (for public sector employees).

    The forms are available at the SSS/GSIS/ECC website.

    EC Claims Requirements:
    1. Certificate of Employment (indicate the last day of duty prior to contracting COVID-19.
    2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result (Positive)
    3. Medical Certificate or Home Quarantine Clearance
    4. 2 Valid IDs

    Forms (SS Form B300 Sickness Notification and SS Form B309 Accident Report)

    If you already have an approved EC sickness claim at SSS/GSIS,  you can then file an EC cash assistance claim at the ECC.

    The EC CA application form is available in our FB page and the requirements are as follows:
    1. Proof of Approved EC Claim Voucher from SSS/GSIS
    2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result showing POSITIVE for CoVid-19, issued by a DOH accredited testing center / Medical Certificate / Home Quarantine Clearance issued by LGU Health Office/BHERT
    3. 2 Valid IDs

Your right to request a review

Good day! I am glad that somebody from the FOI and ECC Region 8 did reply to me just few days after I made a request but they just ask for a static copy of my SS sickness claim and no updates anymore. I keep on asking for any feedback if there is anything else needed to submit or have they accept my application claim already. Nothing is sure with it. And just today they replied to me to visit their FB page and apply online thru their provided website but that isn't even working. Either it reaches maximum application for the day or its under maintenance. In my case, I don't have enough access to internet connection that's why I ask for assistance but it seems not helping at all. I am not sure if I can apply for it by chance.

Is this request offensive?
