Hi,  I would like to ask for financial assistance. I was diagnosed with Covid-19 infection and still can't report back to work. My first RT-PCR test was done on August 26, 2021, with a positive result.  I completed my 14 days home quarantine. However, as per requirement upon returning to work I was asked for another PCR-Test with negative results. Unfortunately, my second test administered on September 11, 2021, still came out positive. I'm still not working up until this time.  I will greatly appreciate financial help from this program. Thank you.

Your Request

You asked for Covid-19 Financial Assistance.

Response to Request

    -The Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) aims to provide disability or death benefits due to work-connected sickness or injury; 

    -ECP covers all civilian employees in the government with GSIS coverage including uniformed personnel and all compulsory members of the SSS;

    -SSS serves as implementing agency of ECP in the private sector whereas GSIS implements the ECP in the public sector; the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) serves as appeal and policy-making body of the ECP; as implementing agency in the private sector, the evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS; 

    -EC benefits are distinct and separate from SSS and GSIS benefits; 

    -EC cash assistance serves as accessory benefits to EC disability or death benefits due to work-connected covid19;

    If you are an employee who suffered from a work-connected COVID,  pls file your EC sickness claim at the SSS branch nearest you(for private sector employees);  or at the GSIS (for public sector employees).

    The forms are available at the SSS/GSIS/ECC website.

    EC Claims Requirements:
    1. Certificate of Employment (indicate the last day of duty prior to contracting COVID-19.
    2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result (Positive)
    3. Medical Certificate or Home Quarantine Clearance
    4. 2 Valid IDs

    Forms (SS Form B300 Sickness Notification and SS Form B309 Accident Report)

    If you already have an approved EC sickness claim at SSS/GSIS,  you can then file an EC cash assistance claim at the ECC.

    The EC CA application form is available in our FB page and the requirements are as follows:
    1. Proof of Approved EC Claim Voucher from SSS/GSIS
    2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result showing POSITIVE for CoVid-19, issued by a DOH accredited testing center / Medical Certificate / Home Quarantine Clearance issued by LGU Health Office/BHERT
    3. 2 Valid IDs

Your right to request a review
