Your Request

You asked for COVID-19 ECC Application.

Response to Request

    The SSS serves as the implementing agency of the Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) in the private sector; as such, the initial evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS. In the event of a denial, the claimant may file an appeal with the ECC as the appeal body of the ECP.

    In relation to the attached BR on covid19 and in correlation with the attached Circular, the following conditions appear on the conditions for admissibility of an alternative confirmatory test for covid19: 

         "The rapid antigen tests were conducted in certain areas or communities with confirmed outbreaks or in remote settings where RT-PCR test is not immediately available. The rapid antigen tests were conducted in hospitals or licensed covid-19 testing laboratories. The conduct of rapid antigen tests conformed to the guidelines issued by the A Department of Health (DOH), lnter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF - EID) or by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."   

    In the meantime, you may proceed in filing her EC claim in the SSS. In the event of denial of such claim, you may appeal to the ECC.

    If you already have an approved EC sickness claim at SSS/GSIS,  you can then file an EC cash assistance claim at the ECC.

    The EC CA application form is available in our FB page and the requirements are as follows:
    1. Proof of Approved EC Claim Voucher from SSS/GSIS
    2. RT-PCR or Swab Test Result showing POSITIVE for CoVid-19, issued by a DOH accredited testing center / Medical Certificate / Home Quarantine Clearance issued by LGU Health Office/BHERT
    3. 2 Valid IDs

Your right to request a review
