Good day. 

We are now doing an analysis of the effect of electricity price changes on firms. The information will be used to see whether higher prices lead to higher energy efficiency.

May we request data on the average yearly electricity rates for all DUs (P/kwh- Aver) from 2000 to 2023?

Dear Stefania Lovo,

I refer to your letter of Feb 01, 2024 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for "Average yearly electricity prices."

However, the following provision on Executive Order No. 2, Series of 2016 provides that:

Section. 3. Access to Information.  Every FILIPINO shall have access to information, official records, and to documents and papers pertaining to official acts, transactions or decisions, as well as to government research data used as basis for policy development.
