I am Edren Ross T. Merzo, a 5th year Architecture student at the UST, and currently researching for my Architectural thesis. In conmection with my research, I would like to request the following information pertaining to esports in the Philippines.

1. No. of Esports tournament regulated by GAB from year 2017-2019
2. No. of licensed esports players from 2017-2019.
3. Requirements in organizing esports tournament in the country.
4. Revenue  from esports (2017-2019)

You asked for Esports regulations and statistics in the Philippines.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested, from our Professional Basketball and Other Pro-Games Division which handles Esports. Please note that the number of permits indicated in the summary of GAB Esports Revenue corresponds to the number of tournament regulated by GAB.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
