I would like to verify if the tct indicated in our deed of absolute sale has already been transfer to our name. If so would like to secure a copy of CCT on which the said TCT has been transferred to.

Response to Request

There is a process called verification where you need to request for a certified true copy of the title from the Registry of Deeds where your land is located. There you will know if the title is cancelled or active. If it is cancelled, it means there was a change of ownership. Otherwise, it has to be active where no change of ownership was made. There is a payment of fees for a request of a certified true copy of a title.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
