Good day!

I would want to inquire about the article that i read, that it is okay to add or change the color of your car as long as the registered color is still dominant. I had my car’s hood and roof covered in black carbon fiber and I want to know if it still considered as “Unregistered change color”.

Thank you.

Dear Rochelle,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 25, 2022 02:12:20 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Unregistered change color.

Response to Request

When coloring a car or motor, it is necessary that 70% of the original color is still visible and it does not need to be registered. But if the color is totally changed, it will only be taken to LTO to update that you have changed the color.
