Hi, I would like to inquire/clarify  whether the use of bar end mirror is allowed/legal and what is the legal basis (department order, circular, memorandum)?

Your Request

You asked for Bar End Side Mirror.

Response to Request

Please be informed that every category of motor vehicle underwent type approval procedure for safety and compliance standards for road vehicles. The side mirror have a specific placement for every type of vehicle as approved.

Similarly, alteration/ modification of the original manufacturer’s design or placement of any basic and vital parts of the vehicle should have a prior approval from the manufacturer or a certification that the alteration is in compliance to the safety standards.
