September 10, 2020 Dear Patricia Gutierrez, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 22, 2020 09:52:54 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Number of cases refused to be represented by PAO due to conflict of interest. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. At present, the documentation of denial of assistance to a non-qualified individual ends upon the issuance of a denial/disqualification form and individual reporting by the concerned public attorney. A tally/summary of such information is no longer made as the PAO focuses on summarizing and reporting information that are required by law, rule, or regulation, or requested by other government agencies, due to manpower and resource constraint. Hence, the PAO cannot produce the information you requested. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the Honorable Chief Public Attorney Dr. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta, DSD at 5th Floor, DOJ Agencies Building, NIA Road corner East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you. Respectfully, PAO-FOSS-DM PAO FOI Officer
