Hi, I would like to know the number of BP 22 Cases Filed by Nittan Capital Finance Inc. in Metropolitan Trial Courts.

This request is being submitted because it has been widely reported that Nittan Capital Finance Inc. fabricates fake BP 22 cases in order to coerce OFWs into internationally recognized situations of human trafficking and debt bondage.

Your request

You asked for the "Number of BP 22 Cases Filed by Nittan Capital Finance Inc. in Metropolitan Trial Court".

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. Our office does not keep the record of all cases filed in MTCs and other courts in the country. We only keep the record of our clients' cases. Moreover, as a rule, public attorneys do not handle cases involving violation of B.P. Blg. 22, unless we are appointed as counsel de oficio by the court. (Chapter 2, Article 8, Revised PAO Operations Manual) Hence, we have a limited number of clients with B.P. Blg. 22 cases.

However, you may wish to contact the Court Management Office (CMO) of the Supreme court at +632 5236479, or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal. The CMO may have the information you are looking for as they maintain data/statistics on court cases, among others.
