Dear Ms. Mina,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated November 17, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for The number of reported VAWC cases Pili, Camarines Philippines.
Response to Request
Kindly see attached available PNP VAW Data under R.A. 9262 covering the year 2016 up to 2021 (by Region) as attached.
In the Philippines, Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 penalizes domestic violence against women and their children. The law covers physical, psychological, sexual, and economic abuses committed by intimate partners.
As of now, PNP is the only source of data on national incidence of violence against women having a well established reporting system through their Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS). This electronic system is fully operational in all police stations and community precincts in the country.
Please ensure proper citation and you may also email the PNP Women and Children Protection Center at omd.wcpc@pnp.gov.ph and statistics.wcpc@yahoo.com.ph for further assistance on data and analysis concerns. You may request further or much more specific data from the above mentioned agency if deemed necessary.
As an additional data source, please also check the webpage of the Philippine Statistics Authority where the Annual Statistical Fact Sheets on Women and Men in the Philippines, which among others, contain VAW data, has been proactively disclosed: https://psa.gov.ph/gender-stat/wmf.
