We are providing you the data on the reported VAWC cases for the whole province of Bulacan from 2016 to 2021, as provided by the Philippine National Police. Kindly see attached file in this reply for the file we have acquired from the mentioned agency.

We would like to suggest that you can coordinate with the City of Malolos Police for the number of VAWC cases in the city. Kindly see their contact details below:

Malolos City Police Station

You can also send them a letter addressed to PLTCOL FERDINAND D HERMINO in this email: maloloscps@yahoo.com.

In the Philippines, Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 penalizes domestic violence against women and their children. The law covers physical, psychological, sexual, and economic abuses committed by intimate partners.

As of now, PNP is the only source of data on national incidence of violence against women having a well established reporting system through their Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS). This electronic system is fully operational in all police stations and community precincts in the country.

Please ensure proper citation and you may also email the PNP Women and Children Protection Center at omd.wcpc@pnp.gov.ph and statistics.wcpc@yahoo.com.ph for further assistance on data and analysis concerns.

If you agree, we can also refer this FOI request to PNP.

As an additional data source, please also check the webpage of the Philippine Statistics Authority where the Annual Statistical Fact Sheets on Women and Men in the Philippines, which among others, contain VAW data, has been proactively disclosed: https://psa.gov.ph/gender-stat/wmf.
