Subject: Follow-up on Request for Children At-risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) Data in METRO MANILA
Dear PNP,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to follow up on my previous request for statistics regarding the population of Children At-risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) in METRO MANILA, spanning from 2018 to 2023. Specifically, I requested the following data on a city-by-city basis:
1. Yearly Population from 2018 to Present
2. Monthly Population from January 2022 to Present
3. Common Crimes Committed by CAR and CICL by Sex
4. CAR and CICL Population by Age Group
5. Number of Male & Female Children – Detained (Year 2023)
6. Number of Male & Female Children – Sentenced (Year 2023)
I appreciate the effort put into gathering this information. However, I also requested the same data for METRO MANILA long before I requested this data (Region 3). Additionally, I was informed by the PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) (Camp Crame, Quezon City), that the data request for Metro Manila is ready, but it has been nearly three weeks, and we are still awaiting the chief's signature.
Could you kindly provide me with an update on the status of both requests for the data in Metro Manila and the WCPC? Your assistance in expediting the process would be greatly appreciated.
